"Finding the best person or the best organization to invest your money is one of the most important financial decisions you'll ever make." - Bill Gross

Ascent
Your 30s and 40s bring competing uses for the same dollar: retirement savings, a home, children, taxes, and the life you want now. Ascent helps determine what comes first. We start with your cash flow, benefits, investments, and goals, then build a saving and investing plan around them. The portfolio reflects when you will need the money, how much risk you need to take, and what could change along the way.
Horizon
Horizon is for people within ten years of retirement. We work with you to determine what retirement will cost each month, what Social Security and other income will cover, and what your portfolio will need to provide. From there, we build the investment allocation around that spending need. We also begin planning for taxes and coordinate with your CPA and estate attorney so the pieces work together.

Summit
In retirement, your portfolio has a different job. It must fund your spending, withstand difficult markets, and continue growing enough to support a retirement that may last decades. Summit brings your withdrawals, investments, Social Security, taxes, healthcare, and legacy decisions into one plan. We update it every year and adjust when markets, spending, or life move away from the assumptions. The point is to know what you can spend, what needs to remain invested, and what you intend to leave behind.

We keep our process simple and understandable. Here's how we get to know each other:

1. Discovery
It starts with a conversation. We get to know you, share who we are as a firm, and ask the right questions. We'll review your investment statements together and begin to understand where you are today and where you want to go.
2. Financial Plan
The second meeting is where everything comes together. We walk through the financial plan we've built around your goals, going over the numbers together so you understand both the strategy and the thinking behind it. We also use this time to talk through how we approach markets, manage risk, and stay aligned with your interests as a fee-only firm, so you leave with a clear picture of where you stand and how we work on your behalf.

3. Recommendations
After two meetings and the work we've done in between, we're ready to put it all together. The centerpiece of this meeting is our official recommendations, where we walk through how your accounts will be mapped, how often we'll meet for investment reviews, how regularly we'll update your financial plan, and the other details that define how we'll work together. By the end, both sides should have a clear sense of what the relationship looks like going forward.
